One Nature One Community since 2012Tree Planting and Forest Bathing
ONOC has been doing tree planting activities since 2012. We started in the three communal forests of La Trinidad (Puguis, Alapang and Shilan) then came the invitations to conduct ONOC at nearby municipalities, then in different mountains in Ifugao.

Then in 2024...
Our One Nature One Community (ONOC) Activity held at Puguis Communal Forest, La Trinidad, Benguet last November 30, 2024 was a success! Thank you to all those who supported this activity. WE have been doing tree plantings, forest cleaning and eco-walks since 2012 but this year, 2024, is special because we added forest bathing and tree hugging. Forest bathing is a a process of relaxation; known in Japan as shinrin yoku. The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help both adults and children de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way. On the other hand, tree hugging is not only a means of personal healing but also a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness with nature. The practice of tree hugging encourages us to view trees not merely as resources to be exploited but as living beings that sustain life on Earth. Many were called but a few were chosen. Many pledged support but only in words. No worries, we understand. This activity might not be the one that mother nature wants your presence and support. There is always another time. Thank you to those who made this activity happy and worthwhile: To the ONOC Og’s Gemar Pawid, Kurt Sebio and Liam, Thank you! To mam Ara of Cosmic Farm, Thank you for being the first at 7:30am! To mam Irish and Mam Kassy ana, thank you! To mam Shaina Cuyahon and friends from University of Baguio, thank you! To Mary Grace and Friends from Benguet State University, thank you! To Sir Aldrin and Joash of Shitoga, thank you To Mam Dianne of Cordillera Tour Guides Association, thank you! To the students and families who joined us during the tree planting, thank you! To the Ranimus, Roseanne, Jonathan and team, thank you! To Azel Bren, maker of AzelBren's Spice and Food Products, thank you for being our lone sponsor for the tree saplings. May your tribe increase and your business flourish! To the LGU of La Trinidad, Mayor’s Office and MENRO, thank you for taking care of our natural resources. And lastly, to everyone who joins and support our causes, Thank you and we love you all! - Dean Michael Cuanso One Nature One Community founder Est 2012.
